Mr Sujeewa Fernando is a Consultant Urogynaecologist for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. With over two decades of experience, Mr Fernando specialises in pelvic floor surgery for conditions such as bladder and vaginal prolapse, womb and vault prolapse, and urinary incontinence. He also offers expertise in cystoscopies, Botox bladder treatments, and advanced gynaecological procedures like hysteroscopy and hysterectomy.
Passionate about education, Mr Fernando was awarded the prestigious National Trainer of the Year Award (UK) in 2022 for his commitment to mentoring future medical professionals. He also serves as the Welsh Fellows Representative for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and is a proud council member.
