Mr. Tamer Ghatwary Tantawy, an experienced vascular surgeon, is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care tailored to individual needs. With a background in various healthcare settings and systems, he prioritises patient feedback to create personalised treatment strategies.

Mr Tantawy graduated from the School of Medicine in 2001. He honed his surgical skills in Egypt, earning both Master and Medical Doctorate degrees in surgery. His passion for his specialisation led him to complete advanced vascular surgical training in the Northwest Deanery of England, obtaining specialist registration with the GMC in 2020.

Since October 2020, Mr. Tantawy has served as a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon at both Countess of Chester and Wirral teaching hospitals. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he holds key roles in education and training within the region. His contributions to medical education have been acknowledged with an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer position at the School of Medicine, University of Liverpool.

Mr. Tantawy is reshaping standards of excellence in vascular surgery, making a lasting impact on the field and the lives of his patients. His areas of expertise include abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial diseases, varicose veins, popliteal entrapment syndrome, carotid artery disease and stroke, as well as leg swellings and ulcers.
