Skin Surgery & Mole Removal near Chester & Wrexham
Consultant dermatology led surgery to assess and remove moles, skin tags and suspicious lesions, with histology when needed and aftercare included.

A mole or skin lesion that has changed in shape, colour or size deserves an expert eye rather than a long wait. At Bridge House Clinic in Rossett, consultant dermatologist Dr Dalia Alsaadi assesses the lesion, removes it under local anaesthetic, and where appropriate sends the tissue for laboratory analysis so you get a definite answer.
Each surgical package covers the procedure itself, histology (when needed) and a follow-up to care for the wound. Whether it is a single nuisance mole, a suspected skin cancer or a scalp biopsy to investigate hair loss, the path from first concern to clear diagnosis is short and unhurried.
Your clinician will confirm the most suitable method at your appointment.
If you have noticed a mole change, snap a few dated phone photos beforehand. They help Dr Alsaadi judge how quickly it has altered.
Skip fake tan, heavy moisturiser and make-up over the spot on the day so the lesion and surrounding skin can be examined clearly.
Tell us if you take warfarin, apixaban, clopidogrel or similar before your visit, as these affect how a small wound is managed and closed.
You will leave with stitches or a dressing, so arrange light duties rather than heavy lifting or swimming for the days that follow.
Why have skin surgery at Bridge House

Dr Alsaadi inspects the lesion, often with a dermatoscope, explains whether excision or a biopsy is the right step, and talks you through the likely scar before you agree to proceed.
The area is numbed, then the lesion is excised or a punch sample is taken. You stay awake and comfortable throughout the short procedure.
The wound is closed with sutures where needed and dressed. You are given clear instructions on keeping it clean and dry.
Your tissue goes to the laboratory, and a follow-up appointment is set to share the diagnosis and remove sutures or check healing.

Book now→How much does mole removal cost? +
Excision of a mole or skin tag with histology is £850, covering up to three lesions, the laboratory report and a results follow-up. Removal of a suspected SCC or BCC is £950, a punch biopsy is £100 for one or £150 for two, and a scalp biopsy for hair loss is £550.
Can I book directly, or do I need a referral from my GP? +
You can arrange a consultation with Dr Alsaadi yourself; a letter from your GP is welcome but not a requirement to be seen.
Will the mole be checked for skin cancer? +
Yes. Every lesion that is excised is sent to the laboratory for histology, so you receive a definite diagnosis rather than a visual guess.
Is the procedure done under general anaesthetic? +
No. Mole excisions, biopsies and lesion removals are carried out under local anaesthetic, so you stay awake and the area is simply numbed.
Will I be left with a scar? +
Any excision leaves a small scar, and Dr Alsaadi will discuss its likely size and position with you before you consent so there are no surprises.
