SelfReferral welcome

Sometimes you need something in writing from a doctor — a fit note for your employer, a referral to a specialist, or a letter for an insurer. At Bridge House Clinic in Rossett, between Chester and Wrexham, our GP can prepare these letters privately, without an NHS waiting list.

The admin fee is £50 per letter and covers the time taken to review your records and produce an accurate document. A letter is only issued where it is clinically appropriate, and a GP cannot write something that is not clinically accurate — for example, a sick note cannot be back-dated or falsified. If Dr Parvez has not already assessed you, a consultation may be needed first; this is charged separately from the admin fee.

02How to prepare
1
Know what the letter is for

Tell us who the letter is addressed to and what it needs to confirm — your employer, an insurer, or a specialist service.

2
Bring relevant records

If you have notes, test results, or previous correspondence, bring them so the letter can be accurate and complete.

3
Be ready for a consultation if needed

If Dr Parvez has not assessed you before, a consultation may be required first and is charged separately from the £50 admin fee.

4
Allow time for accuracy

Letters are written to be clinically accurate, so allow a little time rather than expecting a document on the spot.

How much does a GP letter cost? +

The admin fee is £50 per letter, which covers sick notes, referral letters, and insurance or medical letters. If you have not been assessed before and a consultation is needed first, that is charged separately.

Do I need a GP referral to use this service? +

No. Self-referral is welcome — you can contact Bridge House Clinic directly to arrange a letter without a referral from your own GP.

Can you back-date a sick note? +

No. Dr Parvez can only write what is clinically accurate, so a sick note cannot be back-dated or falsified. A note is issued only where it is clinically appropriate.

Will I definitely get the letter I ask for? +
