How much is a private blood test? +
A single cholesterol test is £60, a basic screen (NP5) is £100 and a standard screen (NP6) is £145. Larger panels include tired all the time (£220) and Wellman / Wellwoman (£335). Every price includes the blood draw at the clinic.
Where can I get a private blood test near Chester? +
At Bridge House Clinic on Station Road in Rossett, LL12 0HE, a short drive south of Chester with free parking. Tests are by appointment with our nurses, so you won't sit in a queue.
What does a full blood count show? +
A full blood count measures your red cells, white cells and platelets. It can point to anaemia, infection or inflammation and some blood disorders, and it's included in our basic and standard screens alongside kidney, liver and blood-sugar tests.
When will I get my results? +
Results for many panels come back the next day. We'll let you know what to expect for the test you choose when you book.
Do I need to fast before a blood test? +
Only for some tests — cholesterol and blood-sugar checks, for example, are best taken fasting. We'll tell you when you book whether your panel needs it.
Will a doctor explain my results? +
Interpretation isn't included with the test itself. If you'd like a doctor to go through them, our private GP offers a 30-minute consultation with a phone follow-up on your blood results for £150.
