Skin Tag Removal in Rossett
Skin tags that catch on jewellery, collars or bra straps removed by a consultant dermatologist — a short appointment under local anaesthetic, for £475.

Skin tags are small, soft, harmless growths of skin that hang from a thin stalk, most often on the neck, armpits, groin, eyelids or under the breasts. They don't turn into cancer, but they can rub, catch and bleed, or simply bother you.
At Bridge House Clinic in Rossett, consultant dermatologist Dr Dalia Alsaadi first confirms that the growth really is a skin tag — some moles and other lesions can look similar — then removes it under local anaesthetic. If she would like the tissue checked in the laboratory, removal can be done as part of the excision package with histology instead.
Your clinician will confirm the most suitable method at your appointment.
Make a note of where the tags are and which bother you most, so the appointment can focus on them.
Tell us beforehand if you take warfarin, apixaban, clopidogrel or similar, as they affect bleeding from even a small wound.
Avoid creams, make-up or fake tan over the area on the day.
Why have skin tags removed at Bridge House

Dr Alsaadi examines each growth, often with a dermatoscope, to make sure it's a simple skin tag and not a mole or other lesion.
A small injection of local anaesthetic numbs the skin; this is the only part most people feel.
The tag is removed with sterile instruments and any bleeding is stopped. Larger tags may need a stitch.
You'll get advice on keeping the spot clean and dry; small wounds usually heal within a week or two.

Book now→How are skin tags removed? +
After checking that the growth is a skin tag, Dr Alsaadi numbs the skin with a local anaesthetic and removes the tag with sterile instruments. The area is cleaned and dressed, and larger tags occasionally need a stitch. We don't offer freezing (cryotherapy).
Can I remove a skin tag at home? +
It's best not to. Tying, cutting or using over-the-counter products can cause bleeding, infection and scarring, and you can't be sure the growth is a skin tag rather than a mole or something that should be checked.
How much does skin tag removal cost? +
Skin tag removal without histology is £475. Removing up to three moles or skin tags with laboratory analysis, follow-up and wound care is £850. For children, a consultation including removal of a skin tag is £750.
Can skin tags on the neck or eyelids be removed? +
Tags on the neck, armpits and body are commonly removed. Tags on or very close to the eyelid are assessed individually, as the skin there is delicate — Dr Alsaadi will tell you whether removal at the clinic is suitable.
Will removing a skin tag leave a mark? +
Most leave a tiny mark that fades over time. Larger tags or ones with a broad base can leave a small scar, which Dr Alsaadi will discuss with you beforehand.
Are skin tags dangerous? +
No, skin tags are benign. But a growth that bleeds, changes colour or grows quickly should be examined, as it may not be a skin tag at all.
